The first question my dad posed when I entered the caravan was: “Where are you going on vacation next year?”
“El Camino, if everything goes according to plans.”
He laughed. I’ll never forget what a guy asked me on the first El Camino: which Camino was it for me? I told him it was my first time and he told me: “Maybe it’s your first one, but it won’t be your last time.” I laughed.
Galicia has nine Paths:
Camino Francese
Camino Primitivo
Camino Del Nord
Camino Della Plata
Camino Portoghese Lungo La CostaCamino Portoghese
Rotta Del Mare Di Arousa E Fiume Ulla
Camino Di Fisterra-Muxia
Camino Inglese
I plan on conquering all of them. Someone’s “too much” is someone else’s “just right”. And you can’t just stop in the middle of the road. Four down, five more to go. So the plan for the summer of 2020 is to embark the Camino Della Plata. Maybe you find this ludicrous but that’s what we love, right? If I managed to excite one person to do it with this blog, let me know. Maybe we’ll share a flight.
How does El Camino end?
If you ask me, with an ellipsis …
